Baker, IAQ Division Manager, to run as a candidate in this year's IAQA Board of Directors Election. The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) is an international association established in 1995 to promote uniform standards, procedures and protocols in the Indoor Air Quality industry. Current members come from a diverse range of professions and trades including Environmental Consultants, HVAC Practitioners, Design Engineers, Restorers and Remediators, Industrial Hygienists, Building & Facilities Managers, Attorneys, Manufacturers Reps and many others in related fields. In early 2007, the IAQA Nominating Committee released notices to all members, asking for recommendations for individuals to be considered as candidates for the Board. The committee carefully considered several factors in selecting candidates. Some of the factors considered include: Industry discipline Volunteer activity within IAQA, and within the IAQ industry as a whole Career history, length of time in business, and experience / success in corporate or non-profit governance Publicly available records Education, training, licenses held, and certifications The candidates recommended to the Nominating Committee excelled in all or most of the above areas. The Nominating Committee feels that the candidates presented for election by the IAQA membership represent an infinitely qualified, highly motivated group who would serve the membership with distinction. The ballot, including 6 candidates, provides for democracy and fairness in the election of Directors. The election will be conducted by paper ballot and results will be known on October 10, 2007.
