The Milwaukee Chapter of the
IAQA will hold a Workshop in
April
Milwaukee, WI - March 24, 2009 -
The Milwaukee Chapter of the
Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA)
will hold another informative
workshop on April 23, 2009.
Presentation topics are: "The
Mold Insurance Crisis Revisited"
and "Testing HEPA Scrubbers,
NAMS and Vacuums".
THE MOLD INSURANCE CRISIS:
In 2004 the insurance industry
introduced universal mold
exclusions. These exclusions
affect the insurance of all IAQA
members and their customers. An
expert, professional educator
from the insurance industry will
trace the impact of these
problematic exclusions for
consultants, contractors and
their customers. Understanding
the far-ranging impacts of these
exclusions will enable attendees
to better manage their own risks
and offer related advice to
their clients.
TESTING HEPA-FILTERED DEVICES:
Having trouble achieving
"clearance"? Are your HEPA-filtered
devices performing as they
should? Although HEPA filter
elements are certified as such
in the factory, devices that
HEPA filters are placed into
vary tremendously. Physical
configuration, cleanability, the
nature of the seal and holding
mechanism all contribute to
degraded performance in the
field. We'll share our
experience in testing the
complete device - with HEPA
filters installed - for particle
removal efficiency.
For more information regarding
the workshop, please contact
Wane A. Baker, Milwaukee Chapter
Director, at (608) 784-2270. Or

The workshop will be held at:

1126 South 70th Street
West Allis, WI 53214
This workshop has been approved
for continuing education and
certification maintenance points
by the American Indoor Air
Quality Council (AmIAQ), the
Institute of Inspection,
Cleaning and Restoration
Certification (IICRC), and the
American Board of Industrial
Hygiene (ABIH).
