FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: IAQA Milwaukee Chapter to Host Workshop on Asbestos in Remediation Projects Milwaukee, WI – September 24, 2007 – A new chapter of the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) has been formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The IAQA is the nation’s largest indoor air quality organization, with more than 5,000 members. The new Milwaukee chapter will serve all of Wisconsin, and invites participants from throughout the Upper Midwest. The IAQA Milwaukee chapter plans to host biannual, half-day educational workshops that are open to both IAQA members and non-members. The workshops will cover a variety of topics, from chemical off-gassing and ventilation to microbial contamination. The workshops will also provide networking opportunities for industry leaders and building owners/managers. The first workshop, “Asbestos in Microbial Remediation Projects”, will be held on October 30, 2007 with registration beginning at 8:30 AM. Speakers include representatives from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services.
