Energy Engineer

Purpose or function of position: Our Energy Engineering consultant will be responsible to provide engineering solutions for energy conservation and energy cost saving projects in commercial and industrial, facilities.  Energy projects will be for both new construction and retrofitting of existing buildings.

Specific needs include retrocommissioning, measurement and verification, industrial and process-related energy efficiency, and custom calculation development for all types of commercial and industrial systems such as HVAC, chilled water, steam, industrial refrigeration, and compressed air.  These are just a few systems and technologies we regularly analyze.

Opportunities include leading on-site investigations, developing energy conservation solutions, calculating energy and energy cost savings, building simulations with DOE-2, estimating project costs and performing life cycle cost analysis, and report writing.

Qualification Requirements: 

B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Strong academic background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and related thermo/fluids subjects. 

Excellent oral, written and analytical skills

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Other Desired Credentials:

Licensed Professional Engineer

LEED® Accredited Professional
