Industrial Process Optimization

Michaels’ broad and deep understanding of engineering fundamentals combined with expertise in process optimization results in major energy savings for a wide variety of industrial customers.  Five recent studies resulted in development of cost effective projects (typically 2-year paybacks or less) that would deliver 44 million kWh, 6.3 MW, and 425,000 therms.  Measures that represent the great majority of these savings were implemented.  Primary programs include Focus on Energy (Wisconsin), Alliant Energy, and Xcel Energy, as well as end user studies.  Specific projects include:

• Quaker Oats, Cedar Rapids, IA
