The Multi-Disciplinary Nature of 'Mold' Inspections Requires a unique blend of disparate skills Markedly different from those required for asbestos, lead or radon Formal studies must include: Engineering (applied physics) / Building Science Microbiology (bacteriology, mycology) Industrial hygiene (sampling, interpretation) Engineering / Building Science A working knowledge of psychrometrics, heat and mass transfer Microbiology Fungal ecology and analytical methods Industrial Hygiene Sampling methods and limitations; experience with interpreting analytical microbiology results in the context of site observations
