New Construction Design Assistance

Michaels assists owners, architects and design engineers with identifying energy efficient design alternatives to be analyzed in detail.  Michaels provides DOE-2 simulations and in some cases, Radiance daylighting simulations for various options, and incorporates the results into a life cycle cost analysis so the customer can make informed decisions about the long term operating cost of their facility.  Completed projects and projects underway total more than 75 facilities.  Projects include:

  • University of Wisconsin – Madison Human Ecology Building

  • Nestle SA, Infant Formula Plant, Eau Claire, WI

  • Minnesota Department of Commerce - Performance, Emissions, and Economic Analysis of Minnesota Geothermal Heat Pumps available to the public on the MN DOC’s website
