Phase I Environmental Site Assessments ASTM E1527-00 - This is the standard Phase I Environmental Site Assessment performed in compliance with this ASTM standard, which can help provide EPA liability protection if completed before November 1, 2006. After that date, the All Appropriate Inquiry assessment must be completed as the first step in obtaining liability protection. This may be desired if you are not interested in obtaining EPA liability protection (after Nov. 1, 2006), but want details on possible environmental issues with a potential property. This assessment is a preliminary investigation conducted by an environmental professional. It includes all the elements of the transaction screen as noted below, but goes into much more detail and requires the judgment of a trained professional, who produces a formal report documenting the results of the assessment. |
