PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Indoor Environmental Quality:  Expert Witness, Damp Buildings, Fungi and Bacteria, Building Physics, Heat and Mass Transfer, HVAC Analysis & Performance Testing

  • Has managed and/or personally conducted more than a thousand Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) investigations in various settings, including healthcare, institutional, educational, residential, multi-family and commercial properties

  • Serves as an Expert Witness on matters of building physics, damp buildings, chemical and microbial contamination

  • Conducts sampling for physical, chemical and biological stressors

  • Analyzes and tests performance of mechanical ventilating systems

  • Designs and specifies microbial remediation, related corrective activities

  • City of Madison, Wisconsin: Investigated and managed the remediation of extensive water damage and microbial contamination of an apartment complex

  • Madison Metropolitan School District, Madison, Wisconsin:  Investigated, determined causation of water damage and fungal contamination of new elementary school, expert witness

  • Hudson Middle School, Hudson, Wisconsin:  Investigation of microbial contamination, HVAC system analysis and performance testing

  • St. Croix Press, New Richmond, Wisconsin:  Assessment of occupational chemical exposures, fork truck testing

  • Herman Miller, Inc., Zeeland, Michigan:  Comprehensive IAQ assessment including microbial, aldehyde and volatile organic compound sampling

  • Edina High School, Edina, Minnesota:  Occupant health surveys, extensive study of ventilating system performance, HVAC hygiene and microbial contamination

  • Guthrie Theatre Shops, Minneapolis, Minnesota:  Chemical hygiene survey, IAQ and ventilation assessment
